New Weight Loss Procedure! ReShape!

We are excited to be offering a new weight loss procedure in our Emerson ASC.

The ReShape Procedure is a smart choice when you’re serious about losing weight and improving your health!

ReShape is a non-surgical approach to weight loss that’s been proven to help people lose weight and keep it off.

The ReShape Procedure is:

• Non-surgical. Your doctor will gently place the balloon through your mouth (endoscopically), with no incisions or scars.
• Non-anatomy altering. Unlike other weight loss surgeries, ReShape is not a permanent implant. There will be one endoscopic procedure to place the balloon, and one to remove it 6 months later. Both with anesthesia in our Emerson ASC.

The ReShape Balloon gives the stomach a sense of fullness and therefore decreases hunger and assists in weight loss.

Patients also get support through 12 visits with our nutritionist and online support from the ReShape website.

This procedure offers an alternative to some of the more invasive weight loss procedures and is recommended for patients in the 30 to 40 BMI range for whom diet and exercise hasn’t worked to accomplish their goals. Although it’s not covered by insurance, many patients believe ReShape is a sensible option to improving their health.
