Sports Medicine is a branch of medicine that is dedicated to the study and treatment of activity-related injuries, typically in athletes but non-athletes as well. The field of sports medicine is wide in scope as it encompasses acute traumatic injuries, chronic overuse injuries as well as painful conditions which prevent or compromise physical activity.

At Bergen Medical Associates, we offer excellence in patient care with a comprehensive multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment and prevention of sports and exercise injuries to athletes, active individuals and non-athletes alike.

Our sports medicine team evaluates, diagnoses and treats medical conditions which regular exercise or sports persons encounter from runners and soccer players to those who enjoy leisurely walks, gardening and working around the house. BMA also provides care focused on preventative measures as well. Our group of physicians have extensive education in musculoskeletal medicine and treats injuries such as muscle, ligament, tendon and bone problems, as well as chronic illnesses that can affect physical performance and limit your range of motion and function. We also advise on managing and preventing injuries.

Our team at BMA promotes physical activity and a healthy lifestyle to optimize wellness.
