Dr. Kirschenbaum is a highly experienced gastroenterologist with more than 25 years of clinical experience diagnosing and treating a wide range of digestive disorders.He earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark.  Dr. Kirschenbaum has held numerous hospital and academic appointments throughout his career, including serving as Chief of the Gastrointestinal Section at the VA Medical Center in Lyons, New Jersey. He has also held teaching appointments as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University, St. Luke’s–Roosevelt Hospital Center, and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City.  Dr. Kirschenbaum has extensive experience performing endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy and colonoscopy, and treats a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a member of the American College of Physicians and the American Gastroenterological Association.
