Dr. Avezzano is a graduate of Stony Brook Medical School. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at George Washington University in Washington D.C. and his Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Georgetown University. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Avezzano has been named in The Consumer Research Council Guide of America as well as Castle Connolly Guide as one of the “Top Gastroenterologists”, and is the CEO and Managing Partner at Bergen Medical Associates. He serves on the Joint Venture Board for Hackensack University Medical Center at Pascack Valley and is the founding member and Medical Director at the Endoscopy Center of Bergen County.
